Guys! Sorry I haven't updated my blog in so long, but, you know.... 2020.

While last year may have had us down in the dumps and wishing for better, mask-free times, let's celebrate the good that happened. First, I published my very first book in January! A huge accomplishment for me, and one that I hope to build upon for the rest of my life. Second, I became a first-time lizard mom to two boys: Norbert, a bearded dragon, and Yoshi, a Cuban False Chameleon. While it's much different than being a dog mom, it has been so much fun. Learning about these guys and caring for them has been a great past-time, especially with all of the extra time we've been spending at home. And third... I got married! October 24th on Cape Cod with my one and only; it was a dreamy beach elopement that couldn't have been any better.

Writing Updates:

In addition to the publication of A Girl Betrayed, I had two short stories accepted into anthologies. The first is a horror anthology titled Fearful Indeed. It's available on Amazon (link on my website). The challenge was to write a short story about a lone traveler who comes across an abandoned church. I can't wait to read the entire anthology and see the different takes from the other authors!

The second short story was accepted into a fantasy anthology. This story had to encompass some sort of fantasy creature and use a variety of keywords like castle, crystal, etc. Though my story has been formally accepted, the anthology is not yet titled. I'm hoping to hear soon that it will be released in the coming months.

Book II in the Unfolding Blackout series, A Girl Forsaken, is *almost* complete. I have big ideas for Book III (tentatively titled A Girl Redeemed) and even a companion novel, A Girl's Guide to the Apocalypse.

Now that we are settling into the new year, I'm ready to crush my writing! Last year is in the rearview, along with my lack of motivation.

I hope the holidays treated you all well and that this year finds you happy, healthy, and safe.

Cheers to the new year!
